Police pursuing armed robbers after abandoning car in Nakuru

Police in Nakuru are in pursuit of four suspected armed robbers who fled on foot leaving behind their vehicle and firearms at Nakuru Sewage Estate in the outskirts of Nakuru town Friday, March 31.

Nakuru County Police Commander, Hassan Barua, says three AK47 rifles, one magazine, a sword and several rounds of ammunition were recovered from the Toyota Harrier found at the scene.

The runaway suspected gangsters are said to have committed a robbery in Eldoret and were sighted at a Petrol station in Nakuru by members of the public who then alerted police.

Directorate of Criminal Investigations officers trailed the suspects to Sewage Estate prompting them to flee abandoning their car and vanished into Kaptembwa slums.

The police boss warns the suspects are armed and dangerous and are in the list of most wanted criminals and urge members of the public to alert police if they see any suspicious characters.
