Police in Garissa have raided an Al Shabaab camp in the remote area of Kotile in Ijara.
In a 5pm multi-agency operation on March 11, police seized 2 loaded pistol magazines, combat knives and an assortment of medical drugs.
The camp, in which radio communication devices were also found, is believed to have been used as a makeshift medical clinic for Al Shabaab cells operating in the area.
The raid followed a tip off by members of the public who had noticed suspicious activity in the neighboring Boni forest.
The medical supplies at the camp are believed to have been stolen during previous attacks in Garissa and Wajir.
