Police recover 4 cows in Nyahururu

Police have recovered four head of cattle that had been stolen in Shamanek, Nyahururu on Friday Night.

Nyahururu District Administration Police Commander (DAPC) Superintendent Daniel Masaba confirmed the incident stating that the cows had been stolen at about midnight.

Members of the community informed police of the theft, and the officers planned an ambush around Maina Village – the area that the stolen animals had been taken.

Masaba commended members of the public for informing police of the crime, adding that the recovery would not have been possible without their participation.

However, the suspects managed to escape arrest.

The DAPC said police are pursuing the raiders, assuring the residents that the culprits will soon be brought to book.

Tyson Chesire, the owner of the stolen cattle, said the cows were grazing in Shamanek forest when they were stolen.
