Police recover firearms after botched robbery

Administration Police officers attached to Namu-Bila police post in Sirisia Thursday night recovered an AK47 rifle and 8 rounds of ammunition at Kibindio area.

The officers made the recovery after thugs who attacked the home of a prominent businessman at around 10PM fled.

According to Bungoma County Commissioner Maalim Mohammed, family members of the businessman raised alarm after the home was invaded by the assailants prompting the response of the police.

Mr Mohammed said  a manhunt has been launched to arrest the thugs.
