Police searching for armed terror suspects

Security agencies are hunting down three Al-Shabaab operatives from Mombasa and Kwale Counties.

Police say that the three; Abdalla Omar Masudi, Alloys Otieno alias Ismael John Otieno and John Muasya alias Yahya Muasya, are armed and dangerous.

Abdalla is a resident of Ndavaya, Kwale County. He has been under the police radar for some time for his involvement in terror and other criminal activities.

Police carried out a raid at his home on November 12, 2018 and recovered an AK47 rifle and a magazine with 30 rounds of ammunition.

The weapon is believed to have been used in the recently increased cases of robberies and assassinations within his home area.

Abdalla is also reported to have been training Al-Shabaab recruits in Kinango forest.

Following the raid at his home which missed him, police say he has since disappeared from his home and gone into hiding.

Ismael and Yahya were last seen in Bombolulu, Mombasa County, in October this year.

The two were earlier apprehended in Lamu County in 2016 while traveling to Somalia after the public informed the police of their plans to join the Al-Shabaab terrorist organization.

They were later released for lack of sufficient evidence to prosecute them. Police say the two are also armed and on the run.

They are believed to be heading towards the vast Kenya-Somalia border in a bid to escape and join Al-Shabaab.

Security agencies are advising the public to be on the lookout and report their whereabouts to the nearest police station or government department before they cause any harm to the public.
