Police seek to arrest MP for insulting president

Police officers stormed the home of Mwingi Central MP, Gideon Mulyungi, seeking to arrest the legislator over derogatory remarks he allegedly made against President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The MP, who has since gone into hiding, found himself in trouble after purportedly getting too liberal with his words during an election boycott campaign in Kalundu market, Kitui town.

The former Public Works PS called out on Uhuru on matters below the belt, in where it matters most, especially when they both remove their trousers.

“Uhuru cannot tell me anything since I am loaded than him where it matters, what is he trying to show us? If he removed his trousers and I remove mine, you will realise that my manhood is bigger than his,” he said.

According to police, Mr. Mulyungi is a person of interest under two indictments; of making offensive remarks directed at the president and for raising a complaint on his life being in danger.

Mulyungi was joined in the campaign rally by  Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu, Kibwezi East MP Jessica Mbalu and Machakos Woman Rep Joyce Kamene.
