Police to arrest Mavoko MP over torching of AP Camp

Police are looking for Mavoko Member of Parliament Patrick Makau and his Personal Assistant to record a statement over the torching of Syokimau AP Camp by a group of boda boda riders and activists on Wednesday.
Police claim the Legislator led the mob to the camp, where human rights lawyer Willie Kimani, his client Josphat Mwenda and their taxi driver Joseph Muiruri were held before being brutally murdered by unknown people and their bodies dumped in Ol-Donyo Sabuk River in Machakos County.
A team of detectives say they have been to the MP’s house, but could not find him, while his mobile phones have been switched off.
Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet has ordered police to investigate the incident and arrest those behind it.
