Police Vetting Enters Day Five

The Johnstone Kavuludi vetting panel put Mwangi on the spot over his handling of alleged extra judicial killings while serving as the coast provincial police officer, accusations he denied.

Mwangi admitted that drug trafficking is a major national menace and called for more funding and restructuring of the anti narcotics unit that he says is ineffective.

He also called for a stop to victimization of junior officers for drug trade to be contained effectively and called for better funding in security systems and new crime detection methods.
