Police Vetting Enters Day Four
During the vetting, Mbithi raised concern that the airwing unit is losing many pilots due to better pay packages being offered in the private commercial sector.
Others yet to be vetted today include DCPs Joseph Ole Tito, Chalton Muriku, Peter Pamba and Munyambu Musembi.
Before the session started, National Police Service Commission Chair Johnstone Kavuludi clarified that vetting laws allow an officer to voluntarily retire before being vetted and receive their legal retirement perks.
Kavuludi further encouraged the public to volunteer information to the commission to help evaluate suitability of officers being vetted to serve in the police service.
