Prepare to be in the Opposition, Kalonzo tells Uhuru and Ruto

National Super Alliance (NASA) deputy presidential candidate Kalonzo Musyoka has laughed-off recent claims made by President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto that the Wiper party leader should ditch the opposition outfit and join Jubilee.

President Kenyatta and his Deputy, during Jubilee’s campaign rally in Makueni County on Saturday, June 1, called upon Kalonzo Musyoka-whom they referred to as “a true gentlemen being misled by Raila Odinga” to ditch NASA and join the ruling coalition for a possible team-up with Ruto in the 2022 General Election.

Through a statement to the press, the former Vice President said the leaders statement were a sign of “their frustrations, agony and bitterness after their repeated failed forays into the lower eastern region.”

The Wiper Party’s leader Kalonzo, however, exuded confidence by taunting President Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto start packing their bags as NASA will trounce them in the August 8th poll.

“It is comical for Uhuru and Ruto to ask me to join them as they march towards Opposition trenches, for that is surely where they will be after NASA takes over power after the August 8th, 2017 General Election,” said Kalonzo.

Kalonzo took a swipe on Jubilee’s claims that he has been in leadership for more than 30 years but has done nothing for Ukambani, saying that he has never been a president to have much impact in terms of development projects.

“Ironically, Gatundu is like most parts of Ukambani and other rural areas of Kenya in general. Abject poverty, characterized by debilitating jigger menace, as well as alcoholism and drug abuse, pervade the area that so far prides itself in having produced two Presidents of this country his father Jomo Kenyatta, and Uhuru himself,” added Kalonzo.
