President Kenyatta calls for peace and unity during elections

President Uhuru Kenyatta once again called upon Kenyans to maintain peace and use the country’s diversity as strength of unity even as the country gears up for the August 8 General Elections.

The president, who was speaking at Kingdom Seekers Church Service on Sunday, May 4 urged religious leaders, men and women of goodwill all over the country to pray as well as spread the message of peace, insisting that he will not allow a single Kenyans to die because of poll violence.

“My hope is that the church, all men and women of goodwill will be on their knees praying that God give us continued peace and unity for Kenya to achieve her destiny. For us, Kenya, to achieve our destiny we need all the 45 million Kenyans to rally behind the course. We must appreciate and love one another,” said the president.

The Jubilee Party presidential candidate assured the residents that he will do everything within his power to ensure that all Kenyans are safe before, during and after the elections.

The president was accompanied by his deputy, William Ruto, Nakuru Governor, Kinuthia Mbugua, Jubilee gubernatorial nominee, Lee Kinyanjui, and senatorial Jubilee aspirant, who is also the seating Nakuru County Speaker, Susan Kihika.
