President Kenyatta Commissions Ol-Karia IV Power Plant

The 280 mega-watts Ol-karia IV geothermal power plant will boost the country’s electricity generation and supply capacity.

The new power plants at Ol-karia are central to the Jubilee government's strategy among them lowering the cost of power and infrastructure.

Energy cabinet secretary Davis Chirchir said the project will further lead to a drop in the cost of power.

The power cost has been recorded a decrease in the past three months.

This has been attributed to the fuel cost adjustment charge on consumers monthly electricity bill.
