Two days ago, The Chairman of Royal Media Services LTD, Dr. S.K Macharia, pledged to support the drama festivals through the company’s various platforms which include radio, TV and online.

Speaking during the ongoing festivals in Embu, Dr. Macharia said the rich content from the festival should be preserved for posterity.

In August last year, President Uhuru Kenyatta promised to support and develop Kenya’s entertainment industry and turn it into a strong economic sector.

Friday’s occasion is an annual event where the President gets a chance to see the finalists in the school’s drama festivals.

On Saturday, the President and his deputy William Ruto, will head to Nakuru’s Afraha Stadium for a thanksgiving ceremony after the decision by the International Criminal Court to terminate Ruto and Sang’s cases.

After the ruling, President Uhuru Kenyatta expressed his delight in ICC’s decision terming it as long overdue.

On Sunday, President Uhuru will then head to Great Rift Valley Lodge in Naivasha for a Cabinet retreat.
