President Kenyatta Jets Back From Lusaka
The plane carrying the head of state and his delegation touched down at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport shortly after midnight.
In his condolence message to the government and people of Zambia, President Kenyatta described the late Zambian president as an exceptional leader gifted with unique, admirable abilities and strong values.
President Sata was laid to rest on Tuesday at the Embassy Park; the burial site for Zambian presidents where two other leaders, Levy Mwanawasa and Fredrick Chiluba were buried.
The Zambian leader died on October 28 at 77 years while undergoing treatment at King Edward V11 hospital in London.
His Vice President Guy Scott took over as Acting President and will serve for 90 days until elections are held.
