President Kenyatta opens First Ladies’ cancer conference

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Monday officially opened a key cancer conference organized by African First Ladies at Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC).

Earlier on, host First Lady Margaret Kenyatta said the conference will be of great importance to the people of Africa.

The First Lady further emphasized that the conference will be of much help to women because they are the pillars of society.

The First Lady was speaking when she hosted other African First Ladies and delegates attending the conference to a cocktail party at the Intercontinental Hotel on Sunday evening.

The First Lady urged the delegates to utilize the conference and come up with solutions that are required to help address cancer cases.

The conference whose theme is; ‘Investing to save lives: The role of the public-private partnerships’, is organized by the Office of the First Lady, and the Ministry of Health in conjunction with Princess Nikky Breast Cancer Foundation.
