President Kenyatta to start three-day visit of North Eastern

President Uhuru Kenyatta is scheduled to make a three-day visit to the North Eastern region starting Thursday.

During his tour, the President will meet leaders in the area, interact with citizens and review and support the North Eastern development agenda.

In a statement, State House Spokesman Manoah Esipisu said the President will begin his tour of the region in Mandera County, where will launch, inspect and commission roads, an airport, as well as address public gatherings.

The Head of State will then tour Wajir County on Friday, where he will commission a Medical Training College as well as a hospital, and also review the free laptop program.

He will end his North Eastern tour in Garissa County on Saturday, where he will among other things, review the progress of key water projects in the area, as well as visit Garissa University College.
