President Kenyatta Urges Kenyans To Embrace Unity

The President was addressing the nation in a televised speech to usher the New Year

President Kenyatta cited several infrastructural projects his government had undertaken such as the Standard Gauge Railway, the Lapsset Programme, Rehabilitation and Expansion of the Jomo-Kenyatta International Airport, expansion of the Road Transport Infrastructure, and the Konza Techno-Polis.

The head of state said the government had also initiated programmes to improve delivery of health, education and agricultural services.

President Kenyatta said the transformation of the parastatal sector will positively benefit Kenya's investment climate by creating more jobs, reducing the cost of living and doing business.

He added that his administration is committed to rooting out terrorism and corruption which are a major obstacle to the national development agenda.
