President Kenyattas Tour To Kisumu Postponed

The three day trip has been postponed after a delegation of leaders Luo Nyanza region met with President Kenyatta on Tuesday morning at Harambee House. 

Led by Kisumu Governor Jack Ranguma, the leaders met the President’s Political Affairs Director, Joshua Kuttuny and Nancy Gitau among other technocrats from the President’s office.

Kuttuny also added that the leaders request for more time to consult on the areas to be toured by the President also contributed to the postponement.

During the tour, President Kenyatta is expected to inspect development projects initiated by the national government in the area.

Kenyatta is also expected to visit the neighbouring counties of Homa Bay and Siaya.

Earlier during the weekend, Deputy President William Ruto toured Migori County and promised that the president would visit all areas in the country including regions which voted overwhelmingly for the opposition.
