President Kenyatta’s Trip To The Hague

At least 100 legislators are now reported to have secured travel visa’s to accompany the president to the Netherlands.

Among the legislators is Baringo Central MP Sammy Mwaita who confirmed his travel plans to the Hague to accompany the President.

Speaking during the launch of table banking initiative for women in Baringo, Mwaita further dismissed the ICC’s insistence of Kenyatta’s appearance come Wednesday.

Mwaita added that ICC is not a real court and that it had become a political court.

President Kenyatta’s travel to the Hague has been much anticipated and termed as a history changing event.

President Kenyatta will become the first ever sitting president to appear before the ICC.

The president has since called for a joint sitting of parliament on Monday even though the agenda of his address is yet to be determined.

Machakos Senator Johnston Muthama has however dismissed the president’s expected address of parliament on Monday terming it as a non-agenda.

President Kenyatta is expected to fly out of the country on Tuesday.
