Presidential candidate Justus Juma’s papers rejected

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has on Monday rejected papers for Justice and Freedom Party presidential candidate Justus Juma.

Electoral commission chairman Wafula Chebukati faulted his papers saying that his list of supporters was not signed, his degree certificate  was not certified and that his proposer is a Jubilee Party member.

The Justice and Freedom Party candidate Justus Juma has been given given six hours to comply with the IEBC’s requirements or risk being disqualified from presidential race.

On Sunday, Alliance for Real Change (ARC) Candidate Abduda Dida was approved on second attempt after he was sent back to certify his degree certificate and to have his wealth self-declaration forms and that of his running mate stamped by an advocate.

IEBC also turned away former State House adviser Joe Nyagah after failing to present a code of conduct for his running mate, letter of his physical address and giving a cheque of Sh250,000 instead of Sh200,000. The former minister has until Monday to provide the documents or risk disqualification.
