PrideInn Hotel manager charged with damaging, stealing property worth Ksh.36 million

A hotel manager was on Wednesday arraigned before the Milimani law court and charged with two criminal counts.

Appearing before Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi, the accused; Mohammed Shabbir Noorani, was charged with maliciously damaging a PrideInn Hotel building.

He was also charged with another count of stealing CCTV, door locks, server room equipment, furniture and fittings all said to be worth over Ksh.36 million.

It is alleged that he committed the offence on various dates between May 1, 2020 and July 1 last year at Pride Inn Hotel on Raphta Road in Westlands, Nairobi.

The prosecution did not oppose his release on bail but urged the court to order him deposit his travel documents.

The court granted him a cash bail of Ksh.1 million and was directed to deposit his passport.

The case will be mentioned on September 8, this year.
