A prison warder based at Nyandarua prisons has been arrested in connection to Kirinyaga Deputy Governor Peter Ndambiri’s explicit viral video.

The prison warder had gone to the Wang’uru Police Station in Mwea to report an accident but his fortunes turned after it emerged he was being sought by detectives.

It is believed that the prison warder is the one who was recorded assaulting the deputy governor in the video that has been doing rounds on social media.

Officers at the Wang’uru police station were shocked after the man apparently admitted to the offence.

According to a senior police officer, the suspect was wearing the same clothes he had on during the time of incident.

The deputy governor has been in the limelight for the wrong reasons after the video of him in the nude with an allegedly married woman emerged.

Mr Ndambiri recorded a statement at the Thika Police Station on Wednesday evening. He said he was kidnapped, tortured and forced to say the things he said on camera.
