Private Schools Claim 80% Of Schools’ Form One Admissions

It is official…candidates from private primary schools took up the majority of form one slots in top public county schools in this year form one admissions. According to a ministry of education list sampling 13 top county schools spread across the country, 80 per cent of the available slots went to pupils from private schools. So glaring is the disparities that for instance, of the 139 form one admissions to Precious Blood Riruta, only three were from public schools. Sally Mbilu reports on the lopsided form 1 selection.
