DCI probing death of Bungoma County employee

Homicide detectives in Bungoma are investigating the death of Sarah Kimarong a 39-year-old woman, found dead at her rented house on Sunday evening.

Officials said the deceased was discovered by her brother whose attempts at reach his sister had hit a snag.

“Suspicion into the safety of the deceased started when her brother’s attempt to reach her on phone proved futile, and a visit to her house was met with a padlock to the outside,” the statement from DCI read.

Detectives who responded to the report broke into the house where they discovered the tenants lifeless body.

They said the naked body was in a pool of blood with visible signs of strangulation and knee injuries.

It has since emerged that the deceased was an employee, working with Deputy County Commissioner’s office in Bungoma.

Probe has kicked off to unravel the circumstances of Ms. Kimarong’s death.

The DCI has appealed to Kenyans who may have information that may aid the probe to relay the information through the directorate’s toll-free number 0800 722 203.
