Probe Governor Over Graft Allegations, Odinga to Kisumu MCAs

Speaking in Kisumu, Odinga said that there is need for transparency in conducting the county affairs and urged them to serve the electorate diligently.

Odinga said that an impeachment motion against the Governor would lead to a lot of stalled development project and would lead to a waste of resources.

The former Prime Minister expressed his dissatisfaction with the persistent wrangles at the Kisumu County Assembly and called on the MCAs to device ways of dealing with such wrangles.

Odinga said wrangles and disagreements among the county officers have greatly derailed development activities and it was necessary for all to work together.

He said the impeachment of speaker Anne Atieno Adul among other key challenges that bedeviled the county assembly were some of the factors that prompted for such a meeting.

Odinga was speaking after holding a meeting with Kisumu County executives including Governor Ranguma, his deputy Ruth Odinga, Kisumu county senator Anyang’ Nyong’o, all the ODM affiliated MCA’s among other county officials.
