Professionals to seek justice for defiled girl

Professionals in Trans Nzoia County have vowed to seek justice for a teenage girl who was allegedly defiled and mutilated by an old man.

Led by Community Chairperson Stela Lochodo, the scholars drawn from the county pledged to come together and fundraise for the 13-year-old girl whom they say was defiled and mutilated severally on her legs by a man known to her and her mother.

Lochodo condemned the girl’s mother for coming in the defense of the suspect and working in cahoots with the man to enable him elope with the underage girl.

She noted that they would not sit back while there was a miscarriage of justice for the victim.

The chair warned that they would take legal action against both the mother and the perpetrator.

Police officers in Kitale are probing the matter and searching for the mother and the culprit who disappeared after the incident.
