PSCU called Donald Kipkorir a Slay Queen and many blame Itumbi

The social media handler of the official Presidential Strategic Communications Unit (PSCU) is in the soup after tweeting a personal opinion via the official government handle and Kenyans are furious.

The tweet, which referred to outspoken lawyer Donald B. Kipkorir as a “Slay Queen Lawyer” and a “Socialite Lawyer,” was replying to Don’s tweet complaining about kiosks, matatus and mitumba clothes in the posh Karen neighborhood.

Kipkorir had tagged Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko and his Deputy Polycarp Igathe, saying; “When we moved to Karen, we thought we were climbing up Maslow Hierarchy… But what are kiosks, matatus & mitumba clothes doing here? Where is our Masterplan? Kenya is a Capitalist State. Let Karen be Karen.”

This prompted vicious responses from Kenyans who thought the lawyer was being insensitive and high-nosed but the PSCU handle took the trophy with many believing it was the work of senior Director Digital Dennis Itumbi.

Through the official PSCU Digital twitter handle, the individual responded, tweeting; “Well #SlayQueenLawyer ama ni #SocialiteLawyer got his match.”

The tweet, which amassed angry reactions from Kenyans online, was later deleted, and an apology issued via the very twitter handle, acknowledging the error.
