Sonko skips second Senate committee summon

Nairobi County Governor Mike Sonko on Monday failed to appear before the Senate Committee to answer to audit queries.

Sonko snubbed the committee for yet the second time, drawing the ire of the Senate Public Accounts and Investments Committee (CPAIC).

Committee Chairman Senator Moses Kajwang has issued another summon for the county boss, warning of a fine should he fail to appear again.

Kajwang says the summon will be on a date to be agreed upon.
