Raila closes popularity gap between him and Uhuru

President Uhuru Kenyatta of Jubilee Party remains the most popular presidential candidate with a 48% approval rating against opposition National Super Alliance (NASA) flag bearer, Raila Odinga, who has a 43% approval rating.

A poll by Infotrak puts Alliance for Real Change presidential candidate Abduba Dida a distant third with 5%, with 8% of voters still undecided.

At the same time, 50% of Kenyans feel the country is headed in the wrong direction, with Kenyans citing high cost of living, unemployment and corruption, as major issues affecting them.

However, 45% of Kenyans are of the view that the country is headed in the right direction, with 4% undecided.

The survey was conducted between June 24 and 25, with a sample of 2000 in 29 counties and 92 constituencies across the country.
