‘Raila is a betrayer,’ says Miguna

Kenyan-Canadian lawyer Miguna Miguna has launched a series of attacks against opposition leader Raila Odinga accusing him of betrayal.

Miguna’s rants come in the wake of the appointment of a 14-member dialogue team to spearhead the President Kenyatta, Odinga unity pact following their monumental handshake.

In a string of tweets, Miguna now accuses Odinga of, among other things, neither visiting his house which was destroyed during his dramatic February 2 arrest nor condemning the act.

Miguna also alleges that on the day of his arrest, the ODM party leader and businessman Jimmy Wanjigi had promised to deliver him something but they never showed up. Instead, he says, “heavily armed thugs destroyed my house with detonators, abducted me, detained me incommunicado, tortured and forced me into exile.”

In yet another tweet, the self-declared NRM General castigates Odinga for allegedly betraying his people “to become a ceremonial President – just like he was a ceremonial PM.”

He further slams the 14-member dialogue team appointed by President Kenyatta and Raila saying it does not contain any reformers.
