Raila plays down Uhurus moves to win over Western vote

ODM leader Raila Odinga has dismissed Jubilee’s forays in Western Kenya as a waste of time and resources.

Speaking in Shinyalu Constituency on his second day of Kakamega tour, Mr Odinga said that Jubilee has failed in its mandate and fulfilling their pre-election pledges to Kenyans.

He faulted Jubilee’s reaction to the murder of Jacob Juma saying their reluctance to bring those involved to book shows unwillingness to solve the murder.

He said for Kenya to move forward, the Jubilee Government must be shown the door.

“Kenyans will not eat PR and neither will they survive on empty promises. For Kenya to move forward, Jubilee must be shown the door.”

The CORD leader reminded Kenyans the many unfulfilled promises Jubilee made during the 2013 campaigns saying Kenyans will not accept to be lied to.

The former Prime Minister urged the people of Western Kenya to work together to defeat Jubilee, urging the locals to register in large numbers in the 2017 elections.

Odinga once again told the people of Western to remain steadfast in the party and CORD, saying the future of Kenya is solely in the hands of CORD.

“I urge you to support me and CORD to bring change in this country,” he said.

During the rally at Lukuse centre, Raila received into the party Mr Godfrey Nasiali who has been an official of the ANC party.

Nasiali was initially in the ODM party where he held the position of Regional Coordinator, Western Province before decamping to the UDF party in 2012.
