Raila raids Meru, brands Jubilee a huge failure

National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential candidate, Raila Odinga, has urged the Meru community to vote for his coalition saying the opposition’s leaders are the best suited to steer the country’s economy in the right direction.

Speaking in Nkubu during a vote hunt tour in Meru, the opposition leader told his supporters to vote for him on August 8, 2017, branding the ruling Jubilee coalition as a huge let down for Kenyans.

“We are asking for your support so that we can cross River Jordan, en route to Canaan,” Raila told his supporters.

“We will expedite the construction of different roads in this region because Jubilee is not keen on ensuring that it completes the different projects it promised.”

The former Prime Minister said that Jubilee was marred in corruption scandals and that NASA would ensure that state resources are used efficiently.

The Opposition leader reminded the crowd of the National Rainbow Coalition’s free primary education pre-election pledge re-assuring Kenyans that if elected, NASA will roll out free secondary education from September.

He said that NASA will invest in security and will work towards ensuring safety off all Kenyans citing the Laikipia land invasions as one of the situations that his administration will correct.

The County’s security has deteriorated as a result of invasions that have pitted land owners against pastoralists.

“We have a solution for the high cost of living, Kenyans cannot access maize flour which is a staple food.”
