Raila: Supreme Court verdict a triumph for Kenyans

The National Super Alliance has welcomed the Supreme Court judgment annulling President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election with Raila Odinga declaring the victory “a triumph for the people of Kenya.”

However, NASA leaders including Raila, Kalonzo Musyoka and James Orengo demanded for a fresh electoral body to conduct the new elections as ordered by the Supreme Court, citing lack of faith in the institution as currently constituted.

The Third Way Alliance presidential candidate Ekuro Aukot who was enjoined in the NASA petition has called for prosecution of IEBC officials claiming they are guilty of electoral malpractice.
