Ranguma unveils plans for Kisumu health Sector

By Stephen Odindo

Kisumu Governor Jack Ranguma has announced that good investments in the health sector will spur the growth of the sector.

Speaking while opening a new Critical Care Unit at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital, the governor said the health sector remains top in his priority.

He called upon the locals to seek medical services whenever they feel sick.

The Governor says waiting for so long before seeking medical treatment will lead to many deaths.

Ranguma says he will ensure that health facilities are spread across the county to enable locals to access health care.

The Governor promised to endure that every health facility has water and electricity because these basic amenities will greatly improve the state of healthcare in the county.

He told the residents to register for NHIF cards to be able to access health care.

Ranguma says his government will make it mandatory for everyone who will be applying for loans from his government to have the NHIF card.
