Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo in hospital after collapsing at funeral

Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo collapsed at a function in Alego, Usonga on Saturday afternoon.

The legislator was immediately rushed to Bondo Health Centre for first aid treatment.

After the MP was stabilised, medics carried him into a Red Cross ambulance and moved him to the Aga Khan Hospital in Kisumu.

The MP is under tight security with journalists being barred from accessing the area.

However, his PA Jeff Atweng’a said the lawmaker is now in a stable condition.

He declined to give any further information only saying that Mr. Amollo will address the media in Kisumu once he has recuperated.
