Reprieve For Joho As Court Validates His Degree
The three bench judge of Christine Meoli, Martin Muya and Edward Murithi ruled that Joho’s degree was valid and that the petition that was filed by Silas Otuke was premature.
The petitioner however says he will appeal the decision of the high court judges
Joho, his deputy Hazel Katana and other CORD leaders who were led by Siaya County senator James Orengo and other CORD leaders from the Coast region were also present.
Thousands of Mombasa residents flocked the court’s premises to follow the proceedings of the governor’s case.
Solas Otuke, the Chairperson for Pan African Youth Movement, Kenya Chapter challenged the election of Joho saying that he had fraudulently obtained his degree from Kampala University.
He wanted the court to nullify Joho’s election on claims that he used the fake degree for his nomination.
