Retired President Moi admitted at Nairobi Hospital

Former President Daniel arap Moi has been admitted at Nairobi Hospital.

A statement by his office said Moi was checked in at the facility to undergo a routine medical check-up.

The statement cited his physician doctor David Silverstein as saying that Moi will spend a couple of nights in the hospital to accord doctors ample time to carry out their analysis.

In March this year, the 94-year-old former president was admitted to Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv, Israel, for a medical check-up, with his office saying a previous knee injury had been causing him some discomfort.

He was later discharged after doctors gave him a clean bill of health.
