Return the favour, Wetangula tells Raila
Ford Kenya Party Leader Moses Wetangula now wants ODM party leader Raila Odinga to support his presidential quest.
The Ford Kenya leader who was speaking in Alego Usonga in Siaya County said it is time that Odinga returned the favour to back him as he takes a stab at the 2022 presidential race.
Wetangula first announced that he would be in the presidential ballot come 2022 on March 3, 2018.
Speaking in Kisumu then, Wetangula urged the National Super Alliance (NASA) principals to support him in his bid saying he has what it takes to lead this country.
” Without any fear of contradiction, I will be on the ballot in 2022 and am asking my brother Raila, my brother Kalonzo and my brother Mudavadi to let me try this horse this time, “said Wetangula
The Ford Kenya leader further expressed optimism that the NASA co-principals will rally behind his candidature adding that he was ready to dialogue with them over his ambitions.
” This does not preclude anybody else from asking me to support them because that is what politics is all about,” said Wetangula.
Wetangula was in the opposition outfit the National Super Alliance (NASA) that sponsored Odinga’s 2017 presidential ambition.
Wetangula was a NASA co-principal alongside ODM leader Raila Odinga, Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka and ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi.
