Robber caught on camera in Nyeri arrested

A middle-aged man, who was among a gang of seven men caught on CCTV camera Wednesday night robbing a shop in Majengo, Nyeri has been arrested.

Nyeri OCPD Makau Masai, said the suspect was arrested shortly after the incident while his accomplices are still at large.

According to Makau, the robbers entered a retail shop belonging to Rware Ward MCA, Simion Mbogo, at around 9pm escaping with unknown amount of money and valuables from customers and shop attendants.

The gang had an AK 47 riffle which it used to scare the customers before robbing them and stealing from the shop.
