Rowdy youth disrupt Kalembe Ndile rally in Athi River

A political rally convened by former Kibwezi MP Kalembe Ndile, who is eyeing the Mavoko legislative seat in the August polls, at Athi River Stadium ended in disarray after rowdy youth interrupted him with NASA slogans.

Police were forced to lob teargas to disperse the unruly youth charging towards the vocal Jubilee politician.

Ndile termed the incident as barbaric and regrettable blaming the incumbent Mavoko MP – Patrick Makau – for his woes.

Ndile’s compatriots in Jubilee Party; Regina Ndambuki (Kilome), Benson Itwiku Mbae (Masinga) and Rachael Kaki (Kitui) abandoned the rally after establishing the mood on the ground was against them.

The staunch Jubilee politician, however, stood his ground saying he will not stop working with the government.

He blamed area MP for poor development saying he (the MP) went to the parliament to fight the president and Machakos County Governor Alfred Mutua instead of fighting for his people’s welfare.

Ndile vowed to soldier on with his ambition to capture the seat.
