Royal Media journalists robbed in Kirinyaga

Royal Media Services journalists deployed to cover the Sixth Devolution Conference were Monday afternoon robbed of property worth over Ksh.1 million by unknown thugs in Kirinyaga County.

The team comprising Citizen TV’s Stephen Letoo, Mauritius Oduor, Waweru Nyambura of Inooro TV and David Kabiru were having lunch when the thieves gained access into their vehicle by smashing one of the windows.

The assailants made away with 4 MacBook laptops, a PSW Camera, three hard-drives, two microphones, tripod and cash.

Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) detectives have since dusted the vehicle for fingerprints and recorded statements from the team as they took up the matter.

Blood stains believed of be of one of the suspects were visible on the vehicle.
