Royal Media Services pilot Patrick Mugane dies
A senior pilot, Retired Major Patrick Ngare Mugane has died.
Until his untimely death, Major Mugane was working at Corporate Helicopters Limited, a subsidiary of Royal Media Services Limited.
Staff at the Royal Media Services Limited eulogised Mugane, 61, as a man who served his country diligently.
Most importantly, they described him as a dedicated pilot who helped in news gathering by taking journalists to different parts of the country.
Major Mugane who was born in Kabare Location in Kirinyaga County worked with the Kenya Army, 50th Air Calvary Batallion where he retired as a Major in 2002.
He later joined the Kenya Police Air Wing and rose to the Deputy Commandant position.
Before he joined Corporate Helicopters, Mugane worked with the Kenya Wildlife Services as a line pilot.
He will be laid to rest at his home in Kiritini Village, Kabare Location, Gichugu Division in Kirinyaga County on October 26, 2018.
Major Mugane has left behind a widow and two children.
