Royal Media Services pilot Patrick Mugane laid to rest

Rtd Major Patrick Mugane, who was a pilot with Corporate Helicopters, an affiliate of Royal Media Services, was laid to rest at his home in Kirinyaga.

He was eulogised as a diligent man who loved his family and community.

Among those in attendance were Royal Media Services chairman S. K. Macharia, the company’s Vice Chairperson Mrs Purity Gathoni Macharia, M.D. Wachira Waruru.

At the emotional send off,  family and friends fondly remembered the 61-year-old father of two.

His wife Lucy Ngari, in a tribute read on her behalf, remembered Mugane as a loving husband who fondly referred to her as Mariru.

The children Mary and Evans also recalled memorable moments spent with their father.

The church remembered him for his generosity, an attribute that RMS vice chairman Mrs Purity Gathoni Macharia confirmed .

She also pledge to continue his work at the ACK St James church.

Fellow pilots remembered him as a calm man,  great at his job and one who loved and was committed to his family.

On his part, RMS chairman S.K. Macharia described Mugane as a hard worker and a man of faith.

He assured the family of his continued support to help them deal with the loss promising that they would continue receiving the pilot’s salary for the next four months.

Managing Director Wachira Waruru echoed similar sentiments saying the pilot was a polite man and a focused worker.

Also present were RMS directors Fred Afune, HR Director Rose Wanjohi, area MP Robert Gichimo, Central Regional Commissioner Wilson Njega and Kirinyaga Deputy Governor Peter Ndambiri.
