Royal Media Services ranked among top 100 employers in Kenya

Royal Media Services has been categorised as one of the top 100 companies to work for in Kenya.

In a report by Brighter Monday that sought to identify and recognise top employers in the country, as rates by employees and other professionals, Royal Media was ranked 67 out of 100.

Top of the list was Safaricom, the United Nations, the Kenya Electricity Generating Company (Kengen), Google and the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) respectively.

The report titled 2018 Best 100 Companies To Work For ranked Centum at 6th position, followed by the Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC), PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Unilever and Coca-Cola.

With a total of 2,067 responses, the report looked at what job seeking professionals should consider such as employee recommendations and company ratings.

The younger demographic between 18-24 years rated their companies high at 55 percent but post a higher resignation risk at 30 percent. 

25-34 year olds rated their companies also rated their companies highly at 49 percent however 37 percent of them were willing to leave their employer.

Employees aged 40 years and above ranked their employers at 48 percent with only 28 percent of them willing to stay put and 33 percent indicating they would prefer to resign.

57 percent of the respondents were male while 43 were female with majority of them aged 25-34 years.
