Ruling On Johos Degree Case Tomorrow

Justice Edward Mureithi told waiting lawyers and public that the ruling was ready but the bench is still in the process of proof reading.

The legality of Joho's degree from Kampala University has been in question

An activist, Silus Otuke filed a petition challenging the governor’s election over claims that his degree was fake.

The Attorney General and the electoral body IEBC and two other interested parties want the case struck out.

The parties argue that the Court has no jurisdiction to hear the matter.

While postponing the ruling, the judge noted that they were anticipating that the process would take more time.

Lawyers representing AG and IBC had in their submissions told the court that the issues raised by Otuke in his petition had already been canvassed and determined through several courts.

This was done in an election petition filed by Joho’s main challenger Suleiman Shahbal.
