Ruto has no authority to speak on graft – Joho

Mombasa Governor, Ali Hassan Joho, has condemned Deputy President William Ruto for speaking publicly on matters of corruption saying that the DP should not speak about an issue the Jubilee administration is not interested in addressing.

Joho, while addressing a public baraza in Mombasa on Tuesday, November 8, said the Deputy President had no right whatsoever, claiming that he himself was involved in the vice.

“I have no hatred at all, but public property must be protected,” said Hassan Joho, intimating that the DP has been involved in various cases including the alleged grabbing of Langata Primary School playground.

Joho said the current government had embezzled national funds at the expense of the people.

“They have spoilt our money without mercy,” retorted the Governor.

Joho said that the government needs to show commitment by leading a war on graft that will not protect anybody accused of perpetrating the vice.
