Ruto, Sang Trial Resumes At The Hague

The status conference comes after the last prosecution witness failed to turn up for the second time on Monday.

The witness going by the pseudonym p727, was expected to start giving evidence from Monday when the trial resumed.

The trial sessions, led by Judge Chile Ebue Osuji resumed after the court compelled the witness to testify via video link from an undisclosed location outside Kenya.

The prosecution will close its case after this witness' testimony, having presented a total of 30 witnesses.

The trial of Ruto and Sang is expected to come to an end by the end of this year.
