Sack Jacob Kaimenyi, MP tells President Uhuru Kenyatta

Rarieda MP Eng. Nicholas Gumbo has told President Uhuru Kenyatta to sack Education Cabinet Secretary (CS) Prof. Jacob Kaimenyi.

Speaking at Ndori trading centre in Rarieda, Gumbo said that Kaimenyi has failed to manage the education docket.

Responding to Kaimenyi’s plan to abolish inter-school exams because they ‘cause students to strike’, Gumbo said that CS is the biggest threat to the education system.

Gumbo added that mock examinations have been administered since independence, and they are useful in assessing the academic ability of learners.

Should President Uhuru brush off the calls to fire the Education CS, Gumbo has threatened to move a censure motion against Kaimenyi in Parliament.
