Safaricoms Lipa Na M-Pesa promotion ends as winners awarded 16 trucks, tractors

Safaricom’s Lipa Na M-Pesa promotion came to a grand draw on March 13, 2020 with 16 lucky customers winning trucks and tractors.

The Lipa Na M-Pesa promotion, which began on January 8, 2020, was initiated as part of M-Pesa’s 13-year-anniversary.

The promotion has since seen 6 customers awarded with fully-furnished apartments; 120 others with TukTuks; while at least 600,000 customers received cashbacks.

“We launched M-PESA 13 years ago with the goal of transforming our customers live by making it easy and convenient to send money. Since then, we have continued to innovate the service to ensure that it continues to meet the growing needs of our customers and that it remains relevant to them,” said Safaricom CEO Michael Joseph.

“As a mark of appreciation, we are also awarding 8 customers and 8 businesses today for using our Lipa Na M-PESA service which is now the most preferred alternative to cash in the country.”

Lipa Na M-Pesa was however launched in 2013 and now has over 160,000 businesses operating under its belt; with the number increasing daily.
