Sakaja and Team ‘Irresponsible’, North Eastern Leaders

The leaders, who were addressing the media at the Parliament buildings, said that they will continue working with their constituents and security agencies in order to defeat terrorism that has threatened Kenya’s stability.

The forty (40) MPs accused a section of their colleagues led by The National Alliance (TNA) chairman Johnson Sakaja and Mukurwe-Ini MP Kabado wa Kabado of politicizing the security issue by asking for the resignation of Garissa MP Adan Duale as the Leader of Majority in the National Assembly.

Dividing Kenyans along ethnical lines

The leaders say that they have faith in the leadership of Mr Duale and his commitment to lead the war on terrorism.

They accused Sakaja and his team of being irresponsible and having political overtones with no relationship to the fight against terrorism.

They cautioned their colleagues against dividing Kenyans along ethnical and religious lines saying this will make Kenya an even easier target for the Al Shabaab militia group.

This comes just a day after 21 MPs allied to the Jubilee coalition called for the resignation of Duale until he names the financiers and sympathizers of Al Shabaab terror group.
